
Meditation
Meditation is used by many people nowerdays, it is welcoming known as a de-stresser in everyday life. You don't have to believe in any higher being nor do you have to be spiritual.
Meditation is much more than simply relaxation, during relaxation the mind wanders uncontrollably, (what to cook for dinner, what to buy at Tesco's, what time to pick the kids up, will I have time to do...? the list goes on) So as much as your body is still, your mind is still very busy, so in fact your mind and body aren't really benefiting much at all. Whereas during mediation the mind stays alert and focused. By using meditation to restrain the wanderings of the mind , we can bring ourselves back to full awareness and experience things as they really are.
Meditation can also improves concentration, increases self-awareness and enables us to combat stress by helping us to relax and cope. It even helps us get o better with others. Many people who meditate improve their physical and mental, well-being, and some have been able to conquer depression or addictions to drugs, caffine or alcohol. It all about the power of the mind.
